My reading support students are inner city middle schoolers in fourth through eighth grades. Most are from impoverished homes, shelters and foster homes. My students are between one and four years below grade level in reading. Many struggle with behavior problems as well as academic issues and need highly individualized instruction and attention to meet with success. Using technology as an instructional tool will help me to help my students achieve success in reading, and therefore to be more engaged with their learning.
