Our school is a French-immersion & French-curriculum public charter school serving all of Louisiana. Our students learn all subjects, except English, in the French language and under the guidance of certified French teachers. Our school emphasizes learning outside of the classroom—students explore science, art & history through classroom immersions at Audubon Zoo & Aquarium, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, & the French Quarter parks & museums. Our school is growing by adding a grade each year & will eventually be a PK-12 school, making Lycée the only French high school in Louisiana. Students will finish high school with both an American diploma & a French Baccalaureate. We are an open-access public school, no testing to our early entrants in PK4 and Kindergarten. We have a rapidly growing population of at-risk students, currently at 50.1% with a goal of 67% school wide. In addition to the day-to-day curriculum, 25% of our student body has been identified to have learning disabilities.
