Nearly 80% or our students live in poverty and nearly half are English Language Learners and do not have access to technology at home. We have families from all over the world attending our school. Students from Djibouti, DR, Congo, Somalia, Sudan, Vietnam and Pakistan walk through our doors every day ready to learn and grow. Many of our students are struggling readers and first grade is an essential year of learning those foundational skills. My students love reading books and they especially love their time on the iPad where they are getting access to innovative and engaging programs that are customized to meeting them where they are in their learning.
