Due to budget constraints, funds that once went towards art supplies have dwindled. To create an engaging learning environment, I try to infuse arts within the curriculum. The donations for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, because I will be able to provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need to master standards. The supplies will go towards student projects that infuse the arts with math and reading standards. To enhance student learning, especially reading and math, I like to provide my students with opportunities to become hands-on and apply the skills they have learned. My students need construction paper, paper, and colored pencils. For example; we have learned about area and perimeter. Students designed their own playground following certain dimensional guidelines. These materials will be used in my classroom on a daily basis to engage students in learning and provide them with arts integrated real world problem solving.
