I am requesting three Samsung Chromebook laptop computers for our mobile technology center. This center will improve and enrich student learning and will allow me to integrate multimedia across all content areas. The Chromebooks will give my students the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. First, it will increase their independence and skills by giving them the chance to work independently and practice a range of academic skills via individualized educational websites and applications. Secondly, they will allow my students to utilize their Google student accounts as well as, the Google apps, which will allow them to dialogue, question, analyze, evaluate, create, and collaborate on various learning concepts across curriculum. The mobile technology center with the Chromebooks will support diverse learning by allowing greater differentiation of tools to address the variety of learning styles of my students, as well as, serve as a tool for them to reinforce and apply what they are learning within the classroom, to real-world concepts through multimedia. Lastly, these Chromebooks will be an additional support that allows me to individualize my students' learning program according to their individual strengths and needs. This project will be a way of grasping my students' full attention, appealing to their interest, and incorporating an aspect that they love into their everyday learning. Students will have the opportunity to utilize technology daily and dive deeper into all academic aspects. Technology is everywhere around them, and my goal with this project is to give them the opportunity to interact and successfully master a piece of what is apart of their everyday life.
