The students will utilize The Distance Between Us as a distance learning reading project during the first quarter. We will have a book talk every week via Google meets as part of our ESL curriculum. Additionally, the subject matter is very relevant making it a great discussion piece for my students. Please help bring this award winning book my English Language Learners this school year. The students will enjoy the great feeling that comes from wrapping your hands around a great book. We will use the book with book talks, student lead rigorous instruction and teachable moments of empathy.
