My students need these art portfolios in order to keep their work neat and together in the classroom. Many of them can submit their work in order to get into different high school Art programs. Seeing as my students are in a urban setting, many of them do not have the money or advantage of having supplies like a portfolio. My budget is about .75 cents per student. For many of my students, having a portfolio raises the level of their artwork and shows them how professional artists use tools and supplies in order to present their best work and put their best foot forward.
