My kids are amazing! But, most are extremely impoverished. School provides free breakfast and lunch to all students. Most students do not have access to the Internet at home. There are fantastic software programs to help them learn, which I have purchased, but they need to be used at school because of the issue of access, and sadly cannot be used at school because there is nothing for the children to use the software with. We were given "new" computers this year, but they have no sound and numerous other issues to the point where now all those computers are being taken back. My school is amazing! Full of individuals dedicated to helping and believing in all children. We are K-8 public Montessori in San Diego. Unfortunately, my school has very limited funding for technology. These iPads would be a dream come true for my students, and for me! Imagine a roomful of 5 and 6 year olds having their first experience with an iPad!
