I believe that all students are capable of learning. I also believe that some students may need additional resources and creative strategies to assist with achieving their learning goals. Yoga and practices of mindfulness has been proven to: -help students develop body awareness -Build concentration -increase confidence and promote a positive self image -feel part of a healthy, non competitive group -offer alternative ways to handle challenges within and outside the classroom -can offer an inclusive way to add activity in the classroom and lessons. Physical activity, flexible seating, and mindfulness activities will lead to a more engaging classroom, better relationships among peers and teachers, and resources for better problem solving skills. This will provide students with positive skill sets that can be utilized well into their future.
