We need two printers to help our 180 7th and 8th graders access rigorous, real world texts. Printing and providing copies of texts for each student allows them to practice annotation strategies, keep records of texts they have read to build deeper arguments across texts sets, and allows reading and writing to coexist symbiotically. We want students to love to read, to think deeply, and to argue persuasively. Allowing students to put their thinking directly on their reading gives them opportunities to wrestle with content directly. Please help us buy two printers so that we can provide our students with stimulating real world texts at their levels.

About my class
