I teach all core subjects to 19 lively third graders in wonderful Carbondale, Colorado. Our school is named for the Crystal River which runs through our valley. Children ages 1 to 10 attend school here. Approximately 2/3 are Hispanic and 1/3 are Anglo. About half qualify for free or reduced lunch. This year we are trying to integrate science and social studies with reading and writing, to make learning meaningful, and to engage kids with projects that inspire them. We wholeheartedly appreciate your support.
