My students are eager to learn about their city, their state, and their world. They are also eager to learn about HOW their city, state, and world became the place where we now live. Luckily, our school provides students with after school programs as opportunities to expand their learning beyond the classroom and beyond the neighborhood where they live. As moderator of the History Club, I am able to expand my students' knowledge of historical events, lead them in engaging discussions, and allow them to see the world beyond their neighborhood.
