I have 12 students in my classroom this year with varying needs. We live in a very rural area with a high number of low income population. Our school is small with about 80 students in the Elementary Building. Our students come to school with many types of needs socially, emotionally and educationally. I am not only a teacher to them, but at times a mother, nurse, friend or counselor. We, as teachers, try to remain positive and help students succeed no matter what their home lives might be like. I think that our staff and students try to be the best that they can be each and every day. We strive to reach all goals that we set and praise them for any and every effort that is made.
