Our building houses grades 6-8; my students are 12-13 years old and are in the 7th grade. Our district is in a rural area where the majority of families live paycheck to paycheck. While our administrators and community does everything in their power to provide as much as they can for our students, they have limited funds. My students are kids that cannot afford to purchase school supplies for projects or daily assignments. I do my best to have open access to supplies so that my students can focus on learning rather than worrying how to buy poster boards, paper, and pencils. To many of my students, books are a luxury that can only be provided by the library or myself.
