Our students will use Scholastic Readers in a variety of ways. They will be used as a shared reading which is a whole group activity. In this activity, students will focus on certain reading skills necessary for them to read high level books. Our students are eager to read and having the scholastic news available to read during centers is the perfect opportunity for them to discover the world around them, practice their reading skills, and read about topics that interest them. Teachers will also be able to use the Scholastic readers during small group instruction. With the Scholastic readers, our students will not only be able to familiarize themselves with the world around them, but they will be able to challenge themselves, read interesting topics, and gain skills necessary to become fluent readers.
