Jesup is a small town on the outskirts of two major cities in Iowa's Cedar Valley. We are a school district of around 1000 students PK-12th grade. My classroom represents well, the demographic of Jesup. My students are hungry for knowledge and understand the key that technology can play in gaining or connecting to new understandings. Within the classroom, we have 17 students! This small classroom size allows me to connect on a deep meaningful level with my students. Through this connection, I have found that my students desire an understanding of technology. My students are bright and have the power to knock you over with their smiles and desire! I have seen them work hard to increase their reading fluency and comprehension skills so far this year. Have a Chromebook for each of them opens the world up to these young people from a small town in the middle of Iowa. Some of my students are happy to have breakfast and can't begin to imagine the world.
