My classroom is a wonderfully diverse group of young learners. They come to school every day curious about what we are going to do that day. They represent a wide range of skills, multiple languages, and family backgrounds. Some students are reading at 1st and 2nd grade levels, while others struggle to name the letters in the alphabet. One thing for sure is that they all LOVE using the computer. We have two old desktop computers. Every morning, I hear the questions: "Who's turn is it for listening to reading? Can I do the computer today? Are we going to the computer lab today?" Adding an iPad to our room will be an exciting new tool for daily instruction and independent center time.
