Welcome to the wonderful world of first grade! My students really enjoy when I read to them; as soon as I sit down and open a book they are instantly engaged. They love looking at the pictures and listening to me make silly voices to portray the characters. My students come from a diverse background of different ethnic groups and different languages spoken at home. I think there are some days when they teach me more than I teach them! They love to talk and teach each other about their different cultures, which makes for a very enriching classroom. My students also are fascinated about the world around them.
