Road trip! At the public charter school where I am a social studies teacher, most students don't yet know the joy of this rallying cry. In fact, many of my students have never had the opportunity to travel out of our area. Over eighty percent of my students qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch, so their families often don't have the means to expose them to places outside of their own community. The students are, however, destined for greatness. One hundred percent of the students plan on graduating from college!
