These texts will be used during the full group, small group, and independent reading times. They will be used to reinforce skills and for students to take home. Many students in my district do not have computers and speak only Spanish or Mandarin at home. This will help to support reading at home, as well as at school. Struggling readers will be interested in listening to books because it gives them access to books they would not be able to read. Making their reading experience more positive. Finally, ELL students struggle to keep up with reading in class. This would allow me to differentiate my instruction through listening comprehension.
