Thank you for visiting my DonorsChoose page! The goal of physical education is to introduce students to several activities so they can maintain their personal fitness levels outside of class. My class will help students develop life-long health and fitness goals as well as teach students the importance of staying active and eating healthy. In addition, I teach students the importance of having good sportsmanship and teamwork as well as having a positive attitude and being respectful. More importantly, physical education will help students think positive about exercise so they can achieve a physically active lifestyle. The American Heart Association recommends a minimum of sixty minutes of physical activity a day. In order to help reach that goal, students wear heart rate monitors and pedometers in class so they can become independent learners and track their progress. A physically fit student is a smart student!
