I am a second grade teacher at a charter school on Chicago's west side. Our school is 97% low income and most of the families that attend our school live in the surrounding neighborhoods and travel to school by either walking or public transportation. In my general education classroom of 26, I am responsible for teaching all subjects, including math, literacy, social studies, science and writing to my students. My students are extremely energetic and are always striving to know more and become better. It is my responsibility to provide the best education to these students as well as provide for their ever changing social and emotional needs. I love having the opportunity to provide all that I can for my students!
