This is my first year teaching and I am working at a low-income school on the southside and I want my students to have a worldly experience. My goal is to start a penpal program inspired by the inspiring and true story, "I Will Always Write Back." My hope is that each student gets their own copy of the book to keep and remember their penpals from seventh grade. Eventually, they will write to their own penpal from somewhere in another country and do research about that country. My hope is that they make connections and learn about other kids their age and what they go through every day.
