We're building global citizens in a newly opened urban high school. We're building an educational program from the ground up, where college-bound students can receive the academic and social support they need to keep on the right track. At the same time, students in our school are connected to their local community and to the world through mandatory service projects. In the classroom, lessons are constructed so that students are encouraged to consider global implications of what they are learning. Our intent is for students to begin to take on community responsibilities now, so that they'll be fully participating world citizens by the time they graduate in three years.

About my class
