Access to technology will allow our K2 students reach their potential access various ELA and mathematic educational programs. Having access to iPad minis in the classroom will help my students increase their independence, access curriculum and resources such as assistive technology. The use of technology to enhance learning is an effective approach for many children, specifically our students with severe to moderate learning disabilities and English Language Learners. The iPads will be used for: Lexia, a differentiated literacy instruction program, ABCya, an online website filled with educational math games, and our final Our Boston project in which our students research ways to make Boston a more fair and inclusive place to live. By supporting our classroom and helping us receive the iPads, we will be helping our students receive access to curriculum and content in all subjects and areas, as well as engaging students to learn more about technology and the many ways it can be used for multiple purposes.
