My students reside in a low income urban area where technology is limited. Therefore, basic typing skills and Internet research is a struggle for many. However, students have still displayed an interest in utilizing Chromebooks to enhance their projects and classwork. Also, using the storage cart will ensure the Chromebooks will be well taken care of and available for multiple use. We have just written our first essay compiling news excerpt from CNN Student News. I can't help but wonder, how much more our essays could have been successful if the students had the four requested Chromebooks at their fingertips. I believe lack of technology limits student learning to an extent. Conducting research can enhance what students are learning and increase student engagement. Using the four Chromebooks and the management consoles, students will be able to actively research beneficial information to improve their skills in writing, science, and social studies.
