My students will create research projects that will integrate multiple disciplines every month. They will begin by creating a fictional animal, applying knowledge gained from research of all five vertebrates. The children will also be taking common formative assessments to guide my instruction so they are ready to take the state assessment online, at the end of the year. They will be able to practice the question types that are seen on the state assessments. The students will be able to listen to readings, so that our struggling readers can have access to grade level text all year long. The Chromebooks will be shared so that more of our fourth graders will have access to technology on our campus.
