The majority of the students come from Tidewater Gardens in Norfolk Virginia. Tidewater Gardens, which is one of the poorest neighborhoods in Norfolk, with the highest percentage of government assisted housing. Over 99% of my kids qualified for free breakfast and lunch at my school. With ever vanishing funds from the state and city, in a school with over 300 students, you can see the depth of the problems we are facing.
