Students will use the AV equipment of this project in at least two new media classes that have been added to our curriculum. They will use the camera and sound equipment to record pieces they've written--an advertisement for the school, public service announcements such as anti-bullying, newscasts--to be shown to our school and uploaded on our school website. This is the first time our students will have an opportunity to participate in a class like this. Many of them experiment with Youtube channels and feel they are destined for fame. This will give them some practical instruction in how equipment is used to make the best quality video available to them. It will open doors to new career paths.
