Everyday I have the opportunity to enrich the lives of my students'. I truly love working with kids and seeing their eyes light up when they have mastered a concept or when they discover something new. Yes, I love what I do. I teach! Being a teacher is challenging, rewarding, and perhaps one of the most valuable career choices one can make. As a teacher, I am preparing the kids for not only their future but the future of this country. I want all of my students' to leave my classroom knowing they too can make a difference in the world and to be life long learners. Working at a Title 1 school can be extremely challenging for many reasons. The families of the students I work with are low income, come from a homes that do not speak English, and can not afford to donate to the classroom. I love what I do. I just feel as if there is not enough time in the day to do all that I want to do with my kids.
