Social Justice is an important issue for all students to understand. Students will be engaged in a unit focused on social justice and what it is. They will read articles that are related to the topic, read speeches that have been given, watch music videos based on the topic and then finish the unit by reading a novel whose subject matter is related to social justice. What better way to help students understand social justice then through the reading of a novel? Students will work in groups to read the books that have been selected for this project and will work together to analyze ways that social justice is discussed in the books.
