Our students are the definition of diverse. Whether it be different languages, country of origin, economic background, family history, hobbies, academic capabilities, or interests, we truly transcend the idea of the melting pot. Our students pride themselves in coming together as one school, but maintaining their individual identity. We honor this in our integrated classrooms. This means that teachers are working with students who are 3rd or 4th generation to our city, seven days fresh to our country, the last (or first) in the family planning to attend college, the valedictorian, the remedial student, the daughter of the family that owns the mall, the son of the custodian that cleans it, the baby of the tight-knit family, and the single mom raising a baby of her own. We see it all at our school, and we love it.
