The school I work in has a poverty rate of 97%. These students have not always been given a chance to succeed. Their motivation and drive to be better and to make something of themselves is incredible. We are considered a neighborhood school, so most of the students are not aware of the outside world and what they could become. We have a high ESL and African American population, it is important for these students to overcome past struggles and to see their worth and what they could become. I strive to push all of my students to be the best they can be and would like to afford them the opportunity to engage in learning with the use of technology.
