My students are a very diverse group of first graders. In my class we have reading levels from Kindergarten through 3rd grade. My students live in a high poverty area in Nevada and attend an empowerment school. 74.3% of the students receive Free and Reduced Lunch. Many of them do not have access to reading materials at home.
