I have 10 6th grade students. Personality wise, these students are all over the board. I have popular ones, quiet ones, jocks, and nerds. Best part is when they come to my classroom after school, all that is left at the door and they come together as a team to get a particular task accomplished. This club is really building bridges between these students that I am seeing flow over into the classroom. Without the Robotics Club, I do not think that these relationships would have formed. Our school is middle to lower economic range with some of the students not having any access to a computer outside of the school. The school district is also in the process of furthering our technology through our many campuses so asking for assistance for additional computers for our club would not be acted on for some time.
