I teach 44 vibrant 3rd grade students. The scholars I lead spend half of their day in a Japanese immersion classroom, developing language skills, learning math, and investigating science. They spend the remainder of the day with me, growing in reading and writing, inquiring about the world around them, and developing social/emotional skills. Each day they are learning more about themselves and growing into an image of themselves that they want to be. These children are learning about what they need in order to be and feel successful and trying to understand that their peers may need different tools in order to do so. All students at our school participate in the immersion program, learning either Spanish or Japanese. They are supported by a great team of parents who dedicate time and resources that allows our school to continue to grow.
