My current classroom has 32 desks, none of which match each other in size or style making it very challenging to create small groups. The desks make it very difficult to do group work and move around. By switching to tables my students will have the opportunity to work together collaboratively. This learning environment will increase student productivity and growth. Currently my high school students sit in small desks that are miss matched and very difficult to put into grouped arrangements. By giving the students tables they will be able to have the ability to work in collaborative groups and also have the space to keep their computers, notebooks and other materials together to create a successful working environment.
