My students come from a rural school that serves a diverse community. They are a melting of Japanese, Filipino, Chinese, Portuguese, White and Hawaiian descent. The school itself is a Title I school which means that over 50% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. For 12% of the students, English is their second language.
