I teach at a title 1 school in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. My students come from various types of socioeconomic backgrounds. Some come to school with their basic needs already met and are ready to learn. While others come to be loved, fed and nurtured prior to being able to learn. In spite of the challenges they face, my students constantly rise to the occasion and frequently blow me away with their ability and passion to learn.
