I teach two classes of Humanities in a program for the gifted, at a suburban middle school. There are 35 students in each of my classes. These are very motivated students, curious about the world, but, they have lived sheltered lives. I would like to expose them to issues faced by children around the world, who do not have the same advantages they do.
