We are a Pre K special education classroom at a Title I school. Our enrollment has and continues to increase so existing books and teaching aids are being shared between additional classrooms and teachers. The students in my class have very few books available to them in the classroom. They love to sit and look through books while learning to share and socialize with their classmates, as well as listen to a variety of stories both fiction and non-fiction as they learn about the world around them while growing their vocabulary. We would love to build a classroom library for our students! The calendar is very important in building numeracy. Daily counting of the days provides our students with important repetition. However, our calendar is currently located apart from the gathering area. It would be great to have a mobile hanging rack for our calendar.
