My students love to be independent. Being able to solve problems and figure things out is the best feeling these kiddos can have. They need to master their letters, sounds, and sight words. They also need to master number sense and problem solving skills. All these skills come together and allow my students to feel they can conquer the world. My class includes low income and military students. Due to this, some of these children do not have access to technology, extra curriculum activities or even developmentally appropriate toys. I believe every single child deserves the change to reach their potential and I like my classroom to provide that opportunity for all y students.
