My students are very special. They are from St. Bernard Parish. It was devastated during Hurricane Katrina. Our district is better than ever. The parish is a true testament of what happens when people work together to solve problems. My school has about 700 students of many different nationalities. It is a top rated middle school in our state. We work very hard to help students achieve their goals, and learn about our world in many different ways. Our school is situated in a very close knit community. The parents are very much involved with their child's education. It is a privilege to be a teacher in such a wonderful school.
