Whenever I introduce a unit on 3-D I scaffold the activities to capture their interests. I start with the scratch paper( 2-D method) followed by a tin or foil punch project in order for them to see the beginnings of form in their work. Once we begin the modeling materials I have their interest! It is a unit of experimenting with materials that they can touch and manipulate in order to create a work that meets the three dimensional criteria. (VA:CR2.5.1 experiment with multiple art materials and techniques) Michelangelo is in the house!
