Sitting 5-6 students and 1 teacher at a small round table is difficult to meet the needs of each student. Without the proper materials, small group instruction can be difficult. It is hard to meet with a group of 5 students gathered around a group of desks and be accessible to each child. It is also hard for students to stay on task in this sort of situation, which makes improving students' skills more difficult. A Kidney-shaped table allows me to sit at the center of the group to assist each student and allows students to interact with each other. Students will be able to work with partners, work with me and work across from each other as a group. In addition, I am able to monitor behaviors of all students.
