The fifth grade students at our middle school come from a variety of economic backgrounds. We have a high poverty rate in our district and 60% of our students are free and reduced lunch. These kids are some of the most enthusiastic, fun and sweet students I have had the opportunity to meet. They are excited to learn and love doing interactive experiments. Often they will take what we have learned in the classroom and do extensions of them at home, then come back to school excited to share what they have learned.

About my class
