Our students are Kindergarten and 1st grade native Spanish speakers who are at high risk of not meeting grade level standard in reading and math. Without intentional, targeted instruction, our students will not be able to reduce the "opportunity gap" that occurs the instant they walk in the door. We are a neighborhood school with a diverse community. Our school has a global vision and our mission statement includes the phrase, "A World of Learners." World languages and cultures are a major focus at our school. We have Mandarin and Spanish dual immersion programs from K through grade 5.

About my class
