In order for my Gifted and Talent Development students to be ready for College and Career, learning to Code is essential. APS, CLL, Grow, Lead, and Transform initiative encourages students to develop STEAM related skills. In this Global, technological society, everyone will need to learn the basics of coding to survive. My students have access to Chromebooks and iPads, but they do not have access to interactive coding materials. Botley The Coding Robot will enable my students to learn early STEAM skills while playing and having fun. It will also teach my students to code with active, screen-free play; which is perfect for promoting STEAM and Gifted standards especially critical thinking and problem solving skills.
