Alcohol inks are bold, vibrant, transparent, detailed and loose. The variety this medium will provide my students is limitless and allow them to be creative and experiment no matter their skill set. The colors are bold and exquisite and colorful pieces attract so many students and viewers of art work. Alcohol inks are gaining popularity in the art world and will give my students another tool to work with, another outlet and opportunity to compete in art contests in order to win money and scholarships. It is also another addition to their art portfolio as they apply for college scholarships in the arts. Alcohol inks are an art form that will often match your mood and emotions as an artist. Whenever a student is working from their emotions and experiences they are more invested in the piece they are creating. Working with alcohol inks, as a new medium, will allow them to continue to grow as artists, pushing the boundaries of what they already know and allowing them to explore beyond what they thought they could do.
