Many of my students struggle with focusing so floor seating and light filters will allow students a cozy, comfortable learning environment. My classroom often times becomes a second home for my students, so a welcoming fun place to learn is necessary. Fluorescent lights are a staple in classrooms, but their harsh glare and flickering light can cause eyestrain, headaches, and anxiety in students. My fluorescent lights will be covered with these fabric panels to softens the glare and harsh lighting. During reading time students attend multiple learning centers. I would like to provide different seating option for them to increase engagement and interest at these centers to create more time on task.
